Are after market gpu air coolers worth it?

So I built my first computer a while ago and bought a zotac 2080 super. My goal was to be as quite as possible. Unfortunately i forgot that It would have a fan and should have checked out how loud it is. I didn't know i was buying a jet engine witch is kind of annoying. I stated looking for after market GPU air coolers and found Accelero Xtreme III Rev. 2 but i am unsure if its even worth it. I cant seem to find how loud it is. I also cant find any more that are air coolers that are for the 2080 super and to rig a cpu cooler while i think i could do it. Seems a little more sketch than what this rig already is witch is a lot more sketch Than i want to do in the first place. If any one knows some more information please help.

Be careful though, because the RAM and VRMs still need to be cooled, or you'll have a lot of very serious problems really soon after you finish the initial benchmarking.

Aftermarket GPU coolers generally do perform better, but they often leave the VRM totally without a heatsink and nowadays they aren't much quieter than the GPU fans most manufacturers use. I'd only suggest them if your current cooler dies.

Such a bad recc, also not the only option. There are companies that make air coolers you can attach to cards, just like you would a water block.

You bough a 300W card, it won't be quiet. End of story.

Honestly, the best course of action is probably for him to sell his card and buy one with better cooling. Sure, you'll probably lose out on about $100, but chalk it up to a life lesson, and at least the card will perform well.

Aftermarket air coolers are epic, I love them. They have one problem though, they are bulky, at least the Accelero ones are because of the thicc backplate.

 

The extreme IV isn't all that quiet at full blast but the Morpheus is as quiet as the fans you stick on it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
