What do I buy? Wait or not?

I need some direction, I just don't know what to do.

I have a 3600X, X570 Asus tuf motherboard, 32gb 3600mhz vengeance RAM, 550w 80+ power supply.

I was using a Asus 1660 super but I have given it to my dad, so currently have no video output.

I have about £450 ($560)to buy a replacement but I don't know what to do.

Do I get the 5700xt? Do I wait and get something on offer like a 2070 super if nvidia release the 3000 series soon? 

Or just use my laptop for a few months and wait for the new updated AMD navi release?

Or chance a second hand RTX 2080?

Please help me, I am going round and round in circles trying to decide.

No streaming  just video editing and gaming.

Ray tracing is what is making me unsure as most games don't utilise it.

Doom mainly, and adobe premiere Pro for drone footage editing.

Do have Tomb Raider but I have had enough of playing it for now.

So you think the 5700xt would be best for what I do?

Buy something cheap and used for now. Enjoy the summer outside.

Then get something from the 3000 series in the fall.

It'd be a really bad investment to get anything new now.

That is my thought exactly, I have a older gtx 980 laptop I can use for a few months.

Ah, yeah if you have something else to use in the meantime then definitely wait.

You'll either get way more performance for the same price, or you can get the same performance and save a fair bit of money.

Plus, summer.

He did it multiple times. If it was a typo, he would have done it once.

It's helpful, as he now knows the proper name of the card.

It's not patronizing, as I didn't once make myself to seem superior for him not knowing the proper name.

Maybe you should white knight elsewhere.
