3770 has low clock speeds and poor IPC compared with modern CPUs. I don't know what FPS is typical for Fortnite, but I would guess you are heavily CPU limited with low settings.

Check your cpu useage one or more cores will be at 100%. That's your limiting factor.

Easy, its a bottleneck, get a ryzen 5 2600 or 3600 or 3300x

16GB DDR4 Viper 4 Blackout 3200MHZ Ryzen 5 1500X AB350M-gaming3 GTX 1060 6gb Asus dual OC, 1TB hdd seagate 7200rpm, 120gb samsung m.2 ssd

1. The bottleneck you have (cpu as you prob know) is holding back the 2070 super.

In my case (i5 3550 3.9ghz, 2080 aorus) the gpu doesnt work as hard as the cpu - cpu is always at 100% and gpu is 20%-30% so you do get lower fps then you should have with a high ens gpu.

2. This game needs more cores.

ZERO doubt about it.

4 cores cant handle this game even with a high end gpu. Clock speed does make a small difference but the main focus is on cores.

Same case as mine. Not enough cores, but your cpu does have 4 more threads then mine so it does help a bit.

Just get a new cpu or maybe try to overclock yours only if you know what youre doing.

3770 is a very old CPU and it lacks some modern instructions that are used on new modern engines and have very low IPC standards too. So you will need to upgrade platform to have better frames on Fortnite and increase the GPU usage. Not only Fortnite, but other modern AAA games too. 3770 is just very very very weak for 1080p gaming on GTX2070 Super.

3770 can't even handle with some old midranges on modern games at 1080p.

Overclock will not improve much. Overclocking memory speed, otherwise, can help you more. I had a i5 2500k@4.6Ghz for too long to notice that memory speed running at 2133Mhz + stock i5 was much better than 2500k@4.6Ghz + 1600Mhz on memories. Both help, but memory speed helps much more. Anyway, OC or memory speed will help, but you will need to upgrade it anyway.
