Please help me build a PC

~70000-80000(Indian National Rupees):

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Video Rendering, Entertainment.

Available parts:

1. 1TB WD 7400 RPM HDD

2. DVD-RW Drive

3. 21 inch Monitor

Parts I intend to buy:

1. CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 3600

2. GPU- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Super or Nvidia RTX 2060. I want to know which GPU should I go with for my use case mentioned above.

a. INNO3D GeForce RTX 2060 TWIN X2 6GB GDDR6 Gaming Graphics Card

b. MSI GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER VENTUS XS OC 4GB GDDR6 Graphic Card

3. Motherboard- Based on B450 chipset. a.Gigabyte B450M Aorus Elite

b. ASROCK B450M Pro4-F.

4. PSU- Please recommend me something. I think 650W PSU should be more than enough (even if I overclock)

5. RAM- I have shortlisted 2 products(both 8*2 @3000MHz

a. G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4 Memory F4-3200C16S-8GVKB

b. Corsair CMK8GX4M1D3000C16 Desktop Ram Vengeance Lpx Series 8GB (8GBx1) DDR4 3000MHz Black

6. SSD- Please suggest a NVMe M.2 240/250 GB SSD.

7. A good PC Cabinet.

Additional- Should I stay with stock cooling options or should I spend money on cooling solutions? Moreover, is liquid cooling necessary for the setup?

Additional suggestions and alternatives are always welcome.

Many thanks in advance for the help.

CX450/550, TX550M, Pure Power Gold 400W/500W - these are all solid choices. A system with a 3600 and 5600XT (since that consumes the most power out of the 2060, 1660S or 1650S) will pull around 275W tops at full 100% load.

Ideally look for a dual-channel kit, instead of buying two separate sticks. In most cases they'll work when paired together, but it's not guaranteed, and I doubt it's much cheaper that way.

Look for some 3600MHz CL17/18 memory, or CL16 if you can fit it into your budget.

You should be fine with the stock cooler on the CPU and included case fans for the most part.

Also, liquid cooling isn't the be-all and end-all of cooling, particularly if you're talking about closed-loop water coolers (AIOs).

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. They are indeed very useful.

1. Point noted regarding Motherboards. I am taking MSI B-450-A Pro Max

2. The prices of GPUs here are a bit confusing. I am getting the cheapest RX 5600 XT(which is out of stock) at a comparable price to RXT 2060(both around 26,000 INR). The in-stock RX 5600 XT(s) go for around 30,000 INR(~50 USD extra). Moreover, GTX 1660 Super goes for around 24,000(price difference of ~26 USD). So is RT 5600 XT really good enough to justify an extra spending of 50 USD? I read a Tom's Hardware article which stated that both are very, very close to each other. Plus, I get dedicated RT Cores on 2060.

The prices-

For Radeon Rx5600 XT

https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/msi-radeon-rx-5600-xt-mech-6gb-gddr6-graphic-card/

For RTX 2060-

https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/inno3d-geforce-rtx-2060-twin-x2-6gb-gddr6-gaming-graphics-card-n20602-06d6-1710va15l/

Certainly, I have to do a manual BIOS update for this particular 5600 XT. The ones with 14 Gbps are around 30-33k mark.

2. Agreed with your point regarding RAM. Yes, dual channel kits are cheaper. So I'll go with them.

3. Going with WD Blue. No issues there.

4. The Phanteks case is out of stock everywhere. How is this alternative?

https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00CY8RTHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Jta.Eb4Y7RETN

5. I forgot to mention that ambient room temperatures touch ~35-38°C during summers here. So I think I must go with at least a 600W PSU because I will need to install cooling solutions. Is it necessary?

Thanks a lot for taking your time and helping me.

I am grateful for your suggestions. But is MSI Tomahawk really worth spending that much? I think I can get B550 motherboards for that price.

Is Newegg India reliable? Most of the products ship from the US. So will the company cover warranty here in India? Another concern for me is will it get struck with the Customs?

I think the case is a bit too high for my budget.

Thank you again

i think what we're providing are indicative builds of what you could get with your budget. if the tomahawk is expensive in india, replace it. look in the motherboard tier list in my signature and pick a good b450/b550 board from there that you can find locally and fits your budget. same for the other components.

the h510 case isn't good anyway, it has bad airflow, try to find one with a front mesh (again, whatever is available in india)
