Nas Drives 6-10 TB NOT SMR

Well you can't really tell if its reliable until after the fact, but the seagate ironwolfs are cmr, the wd 8tb+ externals drives are a great value, the red pros aren't smr, and the data center drives aren't smr either.

I have had good experience with WD Red. Just make sure to pick the ones listed as not SMR (I believe they now specifically state it, or you can look up model numbers, I forget). I use Reds in my ZFS build. 
 

Ironwolfs are great as well.
