Weird 100+ degrees motherboard temps detected by HW monitor

HWMonitor is broken and doesnt detect things properly. Use HWInfo.

Hello,

For some reason HW monitor show some really weird temperatures on my motherboard well beyond 100 degrees.

This happens since the very first day I got this board, an Asus Z170I Pro Gaming in 2016. I have never worried too much because I am aware HW montor is not compatible with every temperature sensor out there but I thought that with time and updates this issue would be solved at some point.

It is unlikely the temps are fake because I cannot spot any hot areas (tho I have never used an infrared or pointer thermometer) and at some point I got the board replaced for another issue and noticed the high temperatures are still there besides the board being cool and working fine so far.

I am wondering if this issue is still common in the community or if maybe I would really worry about my MB working at 100+ degrees for years!
