quality is mediocre at best... thing isn't even 850w

850w is definitely overkill, this consumes around 250/300w under max load.

not even close to that... we're talking about like... 150-200 maybe

Is this a pc you are going to build? Also that 850w psu is far overkill but it's not a great unit. You should get a better quality unit that is lower wattage.

Absolutely overkill. What is this PC going to be used for? I hope you don't plan on using the 730 or 1030 for gaming.

Yes, it also a waste of money

Do you allready own this?

Because this is afaik thats slower than the vega 8 om the r3 2200G. Which would be a much better buy in almost every scenario imaginable.

ASUS ROG STRIX B360-G

This is a rather pricy board for something that could really need money spent elsewhere.

I assume you own a load of these parts allready from other rigs?

Should probably reconsider a lot of this build then.

Pick up a used Rx 570 wil rellying on the iGPU of something more sensible like the 2200G.

Or even better yet, if you are located in the US or similar countries, dont buy at all. As currently its not easy to get something at a reasonable price.

Also with a limited budget like this, i do recommend making a thread when you do buy the parts. To get recommendations on what to buy. As these lower budgets are filled with pitfalls in regards to parts or money being spent on unneccesary wattage/boards or bad powersupplies that risk the longevity of the rig.

the only reason i got this 1 was cuz it was either a corsair 500w psu or this 1 so

Wattage is not the only thing to keep in mind

Also what Corsair 500w?

Also, not having the option of getting a good Powersupply does mean you should probably shift the budget around a little bit.

Yup.

I got a 550W.Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold for my 8400 & 1660 Super build. Accidentally left my uncle a Corsair RM550x in his build (oof) as that's what I was gonna use originally and is another good choice.

My budget and upgrade path will always be a the lower midrange and you don't need excessive overheads in power rating for this sort of build.

Better quality every time and there are reasonably priced units at 550-650W.

Also 710/730/1030 are literally just monitor outputs and a waste of money that could be put towards a better GPU if gaming, a 1650 minimum, 1650 Super or better ideally. 1660 Super or 5600/5700 is the sweetspot of value for performance.

If you're not gaming get an APU, non F Intel or Ryzen G as suggested.
