If you need a cpu then there is no point of waiting. When the 4200g gets released some thing bigger and better will be announced.

In terms of speculation, it should be better, but you should always buy something if you NEED it.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

The 4200G will most likely run on zen2 (ryzen 3000 architecture). I'd guess the performance should not be that far apart. If you need a CPU now, just go for it. There will always be the "upcoming better release".

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

in short, 4200G worth waiting?

What system specs are you running currently, the 3200G is currently $87.99 USD on Amazon and should give similar performance to the 3300X with greater availability and lower cost?:   https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-3200G-Unlocked-Processor/dp/B07STGHZK8/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=3300x&qid=1592848328&s=electronics&sr=1-4

Depends if you need the iGPU. In terms of CPU power i completely agree with that.
