Ryzen 7 3700x with 64 GB RAM

Im building a PC and I need help. I am buying the 3700x and I am going to be doing heavy work on it

I was wondering if 64 gigs of ram would be bottleneck for the processor

A ram bottleneck ? That doesn't work that way

Less ram is a Bottleneck to the whole system 

Your 3700x will be able to run them but not at the highest speeds 

3200 at most because of the imc and FCLK limitations

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Ram doesn't bottleneck a cpu. What work do you do that needs 64gb of ram?

Depends on your workload 

90% of the times you won't be needing anything more than 16 but if you have tasks that require alot of ram for the most part no

3d rendering depends on the scale of the project so is video editing 

For the most part you should be fine

16gb should be enough for that and with the money saved there get a 3900x.

Yeah the premise of the question makes no sense. Too much RAM is never a bottleneck. If you need 64GB then that will be fine.

The 3700X won't have any Problems running up to 128 GB of ram. Recommended Speed for optimal performance Ryzen 3000 processors is 3600MHz RAM. But first evaluate of you really Need more than 16 GB. If you only use up to 15 GB at any time there wont be any performance uplift when going for 64 GB.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

FCLK limitation is at 3600-3800mhz. 

 

64gb of memmory can indeed be hard to run tho. Dualstick config is as allways recommended.
