L4D2, massive amount of fun with friends. Made us mad at eachother more times than all other games put together

 

Also: Civ V, Dragon Age (1 and 2) if you're into that sort of games, Dirt 3 is also nice, Insurgency, Far Cry 3, any Hitman game, Fifa 13 (if you're into that sort of thing)

 

Avoid: CoD Ghosts (If you want CoD get the best - CoD2), Battlefield4(until they fix it properly, and it's on sale. Trust me, I bought it before it came out), 

 

I tried not to focus on the latest games but the most fun ones, and worth playing IMHO.

 

Also, keep an eye out for: Star Citizen, GTA V, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
