Do I need to clean CPU Block

Hello just wanting to know if I need to clean this further. It’s not shiny like when I first got it, but it doesn’t look like it has anything stuck.

That looks pretty good to me, what block is that looks like an AIO block?

It’s the Corsair CPU block. Sweet! Glad it’s clean.

It's fine but since you've opened it up already it won't hurt to pick up a toothbrush and to clean that little residue. Aren't the Corsair Hydro X custom loop parts pretty new?

Yes I think a year old. I’m redoing my loop. And I always hear to clean your blocks once and a while. So I thought welp since I’m taking everything apart might aswell clean the thing.

Little soap and water will do it most times, only time where you may need some elbow grease is if there is build up or some oxidization on the metal and you want to bring it back.

That's how it looks after 1 year? That's pretty neat! As @W-L said: little soap and water and a toothbrush and you're good in a few minutes.

I wouldn't. Whilst solid nickel represents less of a risk of galvanic corrosion than copper, it's not by that much and the nickel plating layers are very thin. The underlying copper is liable to cause serious issues.

oh man... I was hoping it would be okay. I'm building a ITX system in a SFF case. the lain Li case that has a handle. I need to use a slim rad in the bottom. I mean slim like 20-22mm. found one on E-bay but its aluminum =(. anyone know of any slim 20-22mm Rads of copper or Brass?

No, only nickel, brass and copper should be put together in a loop to guarantee no galvanic corrosion issues the metals.

Check XSPC they make an ultrathin series of rads:

The TX is 20.5mm IIRC so would probably work well.

Do you mean the Lian-Li TU150X:

Where were you thinking of placing the radiator?

I was thinking of placing it at bottom. And yes this case! I saw you tuber do it. And i was trying to do that same thing. All the ultra thin rads that are copper are out of stock.... its so hard finding SFX that are not over priced and ITX motherboards that are not over priced.
