No. Often you'll see a reduction in network speed and increase in ping due to the connection being routed to the VPN and then to the destination. It's taking a detour.

If you're in the UK and trying to connect to a VPN server in Australia to browse a UK based website like amazon.co.uk it will need to go from your house in the UK, all the way to Australia, then back to the UK. It will help to connect to servers located close to you to get the best possible speeds.

No, using a VPN will at the very least introduce some latency to the connection and lower the speed a little, as the data then has to go through the VPN server before your computer.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
