X570 - Ryzen 4000

Hey guys, quick question.

Will the X570 support Ryzen 4000? When I say X570, I include all the X570 mobos offered by all the different brands.

Do you need x570 ?

Because b450 will also support the AGESA code for zen 3 with a beta bios

Most x570 boards that are under 250 doses usually are subpart

But if you want a few that are decent

The mpg from msi

The gaming max from msi

The prime pro from asus

The tuf x570 from asus

And you can always check the list on this subforum ;)

AMD offers a full list with what will and what won't support certain CPU generations on their website. I'll leave a screen below.

I am trying to keep my system extremely upgradable. I will get a RTX 3000 series and Ryzen 4000 series sometime next year. I was initially going to wait for them to be released, but I ultimately decided to build one first, use it for a year and build another one later. Hoping to reuse some parts like the mobo.

Yea true but under 250 dollars

Options are somewhat limited especially for x570

Oh that's helpful, thanks!

Any idea what's the primary difference between B550/450 boards VS X570?

You've got a few good options under $250, if it's USD you're talking about, only problem being the current price hike because of the motherboard shortage.

For around ~$180 you should be able to get your hands on a TUF X570-PLUS or an Aorus X570 Elite.

For around ~$200 there's the X570 Tomahawk from MSI, but to my knowledge it still hasn't been officially released. If you can get your hands on it though it's a beast of a board for $200.

A little over that there's the Prime X570-PRO and Strix X570-F, which are pretty similar, or the Strix X570-E which also adds WiFi and something else I can't recall at the minute.

All X570 boards should support Ryzen 4000, and so should all upcoming B550 boards. That being said, pricing for B550 from what we've seen so far are higher than expected so they might not be as good of a deal as one might've thought, going by the prices of B450 boards.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Youtubers always says that mobo is something that always gets overspent. That's why I try to limit myself to $250.

X570 has sli support and usually has a type c port and some extra features and dmi 4 ( pcie 4.0)

B450 dmi 3 and doesn't support sli and usually has less cool features

B550 will have dmi 4 won't support sli

Apparently many of the upcoming B550 boards are more feature-rich than the current x570 boards... Just saying, I'd wait for one of those

As @Mateyyy said

The tuf is around 180 dollars

It's a decent board

The prime pro is a little more expensive but is pretty good

And if you can find the tomhawk x570

That would be the best p/p

I will probably get them in China. The prices are similar sometimes even cheaper.

There are certainly no shortages there.

I already ordered some parts during their shopping festival (sort of like Black Friday) to my apartment.

Can't wait to get back and build my PC :( Waiting for China to allow working visa holders back.

I initially thought they were cheaper in the US (where I am currently stuck in), but that's not true.
