Apple a13 chip

Is the modem for the iPhone 11 Inside the chip? Or is it external like galaxy s20? Just curious and it’s bugging the hell out of me to not know the answer

They are not part of the A13 chip. Apple makes (at least designs, then TSMC makes the chip) the A13 chip in-house, but it buys the modem from either Qualcomm or Intel, depending on what iPhone it is.

According to this article, i think apple puts the modems it buys (from intel or qualcomm) inside the a13 chip.

The modem is external. In the 11, Apple is using an Intel-manufactured modem.

At least the division for phone modems, yes. Apple's clear intention is to eventually make its own modems, but it'll probably be using Qualcomm modems (now that things are patched up) for a few years due to an agreement.
