Dead pixel or stuck pixel?

since it darker it could be dead. My stuck ones have been like red or green

A monitor consists of pixels, a pixel consists of a red, green and blue LED.

 

dead pixel = black (RGB all OFF)

stuck pixel = anything else (white = RGB all ON, red = R ON, blue = B ON, green = G ON)

 

So since this pixel is black, it's a dead pixel.
