MSI "support"

Hello.

I'm actually looking for abit of help on this subject, since i have no idear what to do in my given situation. So here is the deal in short if someone can give advise of maybe help me what i should do next

In 2016 i brought the brand new MSI GT80 2QE Titan sli. And im not rich at all so this was very expensive for me. i brought the laptop because i traveled with work a lot and wanted to game in my time off. So it was the perfect fit because i could uprade the GPU later on, as promised by MSI.

Well fast forward 1.5 year then next gen GPU come out, with the statement from MSI. We were wrong you can't upgrade you MSI laptop you can trade it in and get 0.6 of the value of what you paid for it IF you upgrade to then newest MSI titan.

this did not make me happy but, it is what it is.

Then fast forward to 23 month after i bought the laptop. I was gaming and out of nowhere it stopped worked just black out. Well lucky me 1 month before then warranty expires.

So i sent in the laptop to MSI, and they said it was a fault on their end with the GPU and they replaced it and sent it back. Nice so that extended the warrenty on that GPU to 24 months again.

Fast forward 25 month, what happens the exact same thing! the laptop just goes black stops working, im thinking this can't be right. So i text support that im really not happy about this i paid 4000$ for this laptop it broke down twice with on month of warrenty, they tell me to send it to sweden and they have a repair station there that will look at it since its out of warranty and then they will contact me when we get the info from the repair shop.

I wait a week to get response from the workshop. Its the GPU AGAIN!, and i could repair it for as little as 1200$ because they would need to replace it.

Now im getting mad i contact MSI support again and tell, they say we will contact a supervisor and get back to you.

a week later, i feel like its okay for me to text them about any news. Now they are saying you can ship it to Poland to another workshop because it MIGHT be cheaper there, MIGHT.

And i had to pay 90$ to get the laptop back from sweden because of shipping. I have never felt so little respect as a customer. Again i paid 4000$ for a laptop that broke twice and i was lucky the first time it was 1 month before warranty expired.

I really wanna do something about this thought because it cant be right they have the right to do stuff like this. i just don't know what i have all the E-mail and stuff.

So im hoping some one can give me some advise

msi never had great support and as many game reviewers said(yeah i know its not the same) buy something for what it is now, not for what its promised to be in the future

but yeah gpu issues are widespread, im surprised yours even lasted that long

Things like this is why I love Australian Consumer Law. If a product doesn't last a "reasonable amount of time" before it breaks you get a refund or replacement, doesn't matter what the warranty or retailer says, it's illegal for them to not accept the broken product as a return. Best bit, doesn't matter where the seller or manufacturer is located, if they sold it to an Australian they're on the hook.

And yeah, tech warranties and customer service sucks, I've been denied more returns than have been accepted before I brought up consumer law.

That sounds great though, too bad i cant apply that to my situation. It's really a shame stuff like this can go so easily unpunished, that us little guys have no saying in stuff like this.
