I would say absolutely not.

Custom loops can equal up to hundreds if not over $1,000 easily, and you specs are quite dated. A custom loop could cost as much as your PC is worth depending on the parts.

You might even have a hard time finding blocks, etc for those parts.

Basically, if you want to build a loop, go for it-- it's not really worth the money and effort performance wise, but is a lot of fun. I don't know how easy it is to find blocks for that 7970, but on the other hand, if you're willing to risk used there's probably lots on ebay for cheap since it's such an old card.

Why do you want to spend money on a custom loop? What do you use this PC for? IMHO you'd be much better off putting that money into a better rig.

Custom loops are awesome, but really unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. I'd only consider them for enthusiasts.

Because maybe I want custom loop in my next rig so I want to try it now..

but it was risky and maybe I will destroy my hardware

If you take your time, do it properly, and do all the appropriate tests you shouldn't have an issue.

You're probably likely to encounter more issues by buying cheap, poor quality parts. I've never heard of anyone recommending building an entirely different loop to "practice".

It's not something you need to develop a skill for to finesse. It's like building a computer, people wouldn't recommend that you build a different, cheap, shitty computer before building your main PC for "practice" it's just a waste of time, money, and resources.

If u have to ask, the answer is no.

Moreover ..for that system it wouldnt be worth the cost,  even if its just for practice.

You would be better of just having ur 1st loop be on ur main system.

Mine was, and so were most peoples.

Go with soft tubing, its rather difficult to spring a leak using soft tubing.

Pond pump, garden hose and a bucket if you want to practice. Just like how it was done in the 2000s.
