Will my pc run future games?

I was wondering if a 2080 super paired with a ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb ddr4 3000mhz ram could run next gen games that are coming out later this year like AC VALHALLA at 60fps ultra settings and games like Dying Light 2. I know its early to ask this question but generally a pc like this would be considered a very good pc for 1080p 60 fps gaming for how many years till it starts to i guess "die". Again ik its early to ask a question like this im just asking for general predictions.

future performance depends on the game, and how it is optimized, as well as the drivers from nvidia. 

this is always a question that will be answered with "wait and see" 

 

anytime someone asks "will my PC be able to do/play this in the future" 

the answer will always be "wait and see"

Especially at 1080p60.. the 2080S is MASSIVE overkill for that.

a 2080 Super is a very good GPU, for 1080p ultra 60fps it should last just fine for a while. I mean, it's a freaking 2080 Super!

Ok ik it seems like a stupid question but i really dont know much in pc's ik some stuff but im not like a professional anyways i will get a 2080 super hopefully in the next couple of weeks and yes i will game on 1080p i dont have 4k monitor or 1440p but i really hope i can stay with this rig for atleast 4 years or maybe 5 years

If you stick with 1080p for that long, you'll probably get longer than 5 years. The card is really intended for 1440p gaming.

@PorkishPig well i guess im in for a treat. Im the kind of guy who actually finds 1080p to be the best because it balances performance with quality.

Well with a 2080S you'll get the same performance at 4K ultra if you're happy with 60fps but with way higher quality...

well im mostly talking about singleplayergames so 60fps is enough for me. but in multiplayer i always like my fps to meet my refresh rate which is 144hz so i  need 144 fps.

It depends what resolution you are playing at and the games you judge your hardware by.

 

When I first got a GTX 1080 ti I was getting all frames over 60 at 4k in the games I played. Then AC:O came along and I could only do 60 with a 2080 ti at 4k.

 

Now it is RDR2 and I can't play it at 4k with the settings I like with a RTX 2080 ti and stay close to 60 all the time so I had to drop the resolution. 

 

So I am slowly going back to the time before I bought a GTX 1080 ti(July 2017) were I had to lower resolutions and I even upgraded to a 2080 ti. 

 

I don't expect the trend to change.

Makes sense i guess games get more demanding.
