I don't use alibaba/aliexpress for anything that's not super old and cheap. Anything modern, like a GTX 1650, is a scam. Great for xeons and crap though.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

is that worth the gamble

Well, for us, yes: there's always a lot of entertainment-value to be had when someone goes and spends money on obvious scams and then comes here to rage about it.

Just don't use alibaba/aliexpress/wish for anything over $10. Ebay has all the same parts for pretty similar prices and actually has a way to dispute the transactions if you get hosed.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Part of the product price is sometimes hidden in the delivery costs, always compare the sum...

Alibaba website is for large orders only, buying in bulk... that is why their prices are so low.

Aliexpress on the other hand is pretty reliable, I have received every item I ordered, and even refunds for items that took too long to be delivered or were damaged.

I've had good experiences with AliExpress generally but I've definitely had no shows. I ordered fake rocks so I could put a spare key in my backyard and twice nothing. I've tried to order pop filters an embarrassing 3 times and each time from different stores nothing. But I've never had a bad flash drive from the 6-7 I've ordered. One of them was so tight I pulled the components out of the casing but it still works and now it's going be a stealth backup drive that I keep in a safe or something. I get my A5 notebooks pretty regularly. It's been up and down. i'd say I've been more disappointed in the products than had products not show up.  That said I tend to buy in the <$50 price range.

Not sure why all the hate on Aliexpress. I find that there is an equal amount of scammers on eBay and as long as you aren't a fucking idiot you won't get scammed. I've also had good experience with Aliexpress support in the past. They're fine.

As for Alibaba, I would assume it is a similar case but I am not sure.

Same parent company. The difference is that Alibaba is for bulk orders.

Checking on, pricing seems to be from normal to concerning on there. So yes, they will have lower price point than on western markets. But if price is -90%, there's something fishy going on.
