Posted May 5, 2020 I have a dt 1070 ftw gpu I know a buddy that will sell me his old 1070 dirt cheep. Posted May 5, 2020 As long as they are the same GPU core they will work in SLI regardless of the board partner. The FTW might be clocked higher so they will run at the speed of the slower card. Depends on the price for the 1070 as SLI tends to be hit or miss. Posted May 5, 2020 My only fear in this is that yes, while they will work, FTW cards are usually custom PCBs so they may be larger and may not fit the SLI bridge with a reference style board. I would verify the width of the card is the same at the SLI fingers before you do it. But as @BuckGup stated, SLI is basically a dead standard with as powerful as GPUs are these days and the hassles it is for developers to properly implement it in there games. Posted May 5, 2020 Yea may be stuck running a pair of ribbon cables but isn’t a big deal with a card like that. But if it’s cheap and your system can handle two cards then it would be worth while.
