Replace 6y Old PC (2 cores using DDR3)

KageKazumi

Taking into account what the few posted in suggestion I went to new egg & threw this together. Please give me your thoughts on it: https://secure.newegg.com/wishlist/sd/YkOKyMxVFkaaqphkJxMO_-_g==

ORIGINAL POST

Spoiler

Alright, so I have an old topic (week-half) old, but instead of nercro-posting I thought I'd try this again giving some more details on how I use my PC and plan to use it in the future.

CURRENT ISSUE

I can't play certain games on Steam due not meeting system requirements or forced (see some of my PC specs in this old topic) to play below normal game conditions (standard default settings). Also when I use OBS to do screen recordings the recording has huge lag issues. This is true even if I'm just screen recording articles in Fire Fox with like 5 or more tabs open (computer slows down and even the mouse pointer seems to lag across the screen.

I did; as mentioned above have an old topic (1-2 weeks), but some of the parts are no longer for sale and though I have selected "replacements" I also thought it a good idea (this going to be my first build as my current build was an ebay purchase) I'd get some advice.

Processor has 2 cores and mother board only supports DDR3.

PLANS OF USE

4K and VR currently don't interest me. In fact, when I install a PC game (steam) I play it at what ever default settings it chooses. I also do a lot of video creating (some editing) and image editing using After Effects and Photoshop (respectively; currently can't use AE even on small projects as they take hours to export project).

1) Play video games 1080p,  30-60f sec. (usually use default settings)

2) Screen recording using OBS (usually 1080p 25-30F sec.).

3) With new PC also plan to start doing streaming videos and gaming.

4) Hobby game making (using such software as: RPG Maker series, Game Maker, Torque 2D Builder, etc.)

5) Self teaching to program in C++, Python, & C# (I had to uninstall a lot of software for doing this because it was bogging down the system).

BUDGET

$900-1,000 (this includes shipping & taxes); USD.

MOVING ANYTHING FROM CURRENT BUILD TO NEW BUILD?

1) DVD/CD drive (may upgrade it to a blu-ray drive later)

2) Data hub

*Both of the above are on front of current PC*

3) Hard Drive 2tb (non-SSD); will be used for storing larger files (videos and back-up downloads)

4) 500gb Hard Drive (non-SSD); comes from a broken PS4 thought I'd using it for storing images

FAQ

1) Can you exceed your budget? - If I don't have to that would be nice, but MAX budget is $1,200 (including shipping and taxes).

2) Can you save money by using your current case? - Yes. If needed I can purchase a case at a later time. Current motherboard is a AsRock FM2A78M-HD+ see here.

3) Would like onboard graphics or separate? - Separate.

4) Standard Drive or SSD? - SSD; specifically 1tb M.2, but if I need to update this later due to budget a normal SSD will do for now.

5) Need C port(s)? - No, only interested in USB 3.

6) Do you need the DVD/CD drive? - I was also thinking about just getting an external one later. So a case that supports it isn't required (same with Data hub, putting this on the back would be fine by me).

You should perhaps get a high refresh monitor with the pc, as a $900-$1000 can for sure do better than 60fps on most titles medium graphics. As for the parts to move? The Hard drives are fine, but DVD/CD drives should stay external or totally out of the picture. Here's a decent pc for your use cases: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Broken_Gamer/saved/#view=ZZNTJx

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.
