Telecom New Zealand is changing its name to "spark", with release of pay internet tv, called "ShowmeTV"

 

It is a play, which if Telecom pulls it off, may see the company become the first credible pay TV rival to Sky Television.

finally SkyTv have rivals.

 

i believe that this is telecoms way to push fiber to more homes in new zealand (and hopefully mine )

You wont get fibre out of it, there is no set top box. Will just be some extra channels you get through your aerial......think like Sky's old terrestrial system, but digital and HD.
