Good morning LTT forum!

 

Any airsoft players in here?

 

What do you run? What kind of camo do you like to wear? whats your favorite type of game? Are you squadded up or do you run solo?

 

Lets chat! I cannot go out and play due to the pandemic, so Chairsofting will have to do for now!

 

My Rig:

 

Primary: Krytac Trident MKII CRB (Combat Grey) with a 6x rifle scope, M130 spring and 0.3g BB's (DOS)

Secondary: Ares Striker AS-01 Heavily modified, M140 spring and 0.4g BB's (Geoffs) (Olive Green)

Sidearm: KJW KP-13C

 

Gadgets:

 

Comms: Baofang UV-5R with throat mic

Grenade: Airsoft Innovations XL Burst

If I can get back into shape... anything that has a BB leave the barrel. But right now, I have a G&P M4 that I don't use that I'm gunna sell. I also have a Tippmann G1 HPA all mechanical & I bought an upgraded JG spring bolty. I used to have a G&G G96 (G&G made upgrades for the tokyo marui L96 GG NBB bolty & made so many parts that they could literally put them together to make a new gun.)
I had a KWA KG36 but I ran that thing into the ground & sold it for like $100 to some sod that said he was gunna fix it haha. I also have 2 CYMA AK47, but I'm gunna sell those too I think.

I finally got a G&P M203 grenade launcher recently. Thing is like a wall of BBs going at 300 FPS haha.

For my pistol, I use a KWA KMP7 because I have a big ass holster that fits it haha. SMG secondary, pistols are for babies.

I used to wear woodland because it's what I had, then I wore OD green because that's what colour grass is & everyone used to wear tan & multi-cam. Now I just wear like... random clothes haha. Unless it's an OP, if they're pants & long sleeves, I can dig it.

Team Deathmatch in a small area/town with 1 life or a few respawns. Big ops are boring because you just walk for like 10 minutes before getting sniped by a camper. Not small battlefields because the front lines are too stagnant & it's impossible to pull off sick plays.

Sometimes I meet people or see old friends, but I typically go solo.

I worked at a store that sold this. That's a solid springer.

TBH CO2 GBB non-1911 pistols are the best pistols. Powerful recoil, good power, can be used in moderate cold without having to re-fill the gas.

I used to carry a wallmart radio. Sometimes I bring it & coordinate with friends that have wallmart radios.

I've found that practically, you don't need much tactical communcation gear. Just shout if they're in your combat zone, or radio if they're like flanking around to coordinate loosely.

I remember when Airsoft Innovations released the tornado grenade. That thing was sick. Looks like you have a Thunder B alternative. Looks sick. I like the Enola Gaye grenades now. $10~20 depending on how close to MAP the seller is selling for. Don't have to look for it after throwing it, don't have to maintain it.

It was good to have a grenade at all times for me, when I had my tornado, and some old friends got insane kills with them, but my local field changed so drastically & I got out of the sport a little because of college, so I'm not as good/aggressive as I used to be.

 

Also other players got good at the game, so it's not the noob crushing it used to be. Oh 2011... you were great. Especially the huge snowstorm, that made airsoft epic with 4 foot deep snow trenches.

 

Airsoft seems to have turned into a little bit of a fashion show, whilst I was gone, but that seems to mainly exist in the CQB scene. At least there's not that many "super soldiers." Y'know the 30 year olds that never enlisted that buy the latest military issue gear? I think that was a 2013~2016 thing.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing with soldiers & those that use real military strategies. I think that's fun, but some people like won't let you play the game unless you're dead serious using acronyms and stuff or they just kinda like hold a position for no reason as if they'll die in real life if they die in the game. Instead of just like playing the game like we're in call of duty. I pretend I'm in an MLG MW2 montage when I play & it used to work all the time. People used to get mad at me saying "I'M ON YOUR TEAM! STOP SHOOTING ME!" because I killed their left half & came behind the entire right side & killed 90% of the team until someone realised I'm not on their team & kills me so I start walking back to my base & they shut up realising I just wrecked them but are so mad they don't go out.

I love my sidearm, the KP-13 if you havent seen it, is like a mock up of a glock. so close to a glock that you can actually take KP17, Kp18 or marui slides and swap them on no problem. but I love that gun. ported slide, gold barrel, thing looks so good I almost dont want to game it!!! My last sidearm was a KWC 1911 100th anniversary edition. Really nice gun, but for the love of god dont buy it cause half the parts are proprietary and they dont make spares unless you go right through KWC for them.

 

The .3 for outdoors is the ONLY way to go, otherwise you aim straight and your BB does a 90 degree in either direction if it has just a touch of wind on it..... 

 

The striker I frickin love, I use the radio primarily in pair with that gun, as you will usually find me disguised as a bush sending positions to my teammates so they can run up if I cant take a shot or am out of range, but that rifle hits half torso grouping on .43 at 275+ feet, so I am not complaining.

 

 

Glad to see some other forum users appreciate the sport!!!

Heh... I worked as a repair guy in a store for a few years. I was super into knowing all the stuff almost a decade ago.

Lol. I like seeing limited edition & nice looking stuff used. Airsoft doesn’t really hold value as far as I know. If I had bought crazy limited edition stuff, I’d rock it to the ground.

KWC makes nice stuff. My first GBB was the P226S. Kicks so hard. All metal. You can basically beat someone to death with it haha. Getting parts is a heck of a lot easier nowadays than it used to be. If things broke quite a few years ago, you were basically screwed as far as I know.

Unlesd you’ve got a sniper, yeah. I always and up with über powerful snipers & need .4 or heavier. 

If you haven’t put .3 in your pistol yet... you’re missing out.

Ahh yeah. Airsoft is kinda.... short range ish. Much better than paintball though. 

 

My gas sniper, had an unknown range because it shot so far so straight, we didn’t physically have a log enough distance to measure its range. It also shot so hot that it’s not allowed at fields lol. It sounds like someone is full force punching a wooden wall when I shoot buildings. XD

 

My current sniper is pretty nice but I gotta learn it. It’s got a ton of upgrades & stuff.

Saw I think Silo on youtube use exploding BB's.... Id like to try those if I can get my hands on some.

 

 

Side note: 0.3G in ANY AEG or sidearm that is not playing indoors with a 0.2@350fps limit. Its too boss to not do it.

Anyone ever order a sight on Wish or Ali-Express?

I watched a video by some German YouTuber talking about how he got his EOTech knock off from ali express.

 

I found an ACOG with 4x zoom but I'm skeptical of the site. Curious if anyone orders gear from there. How am I protected as a customer? I don't want to buy junk & be stuck with it nor do I want to buy something that gets damaged & be stuck with it.

 

For about $50 USD I can get this sight which is about what I'd want to pay, but if it's a cheap tier from these guys, I don't want trash if I need to spend $70 or $80 minimum.

I havent bought anything off of wish but I have a couple of teammates who have. Wish does hold a policy where if what you order is not what arrived, you get a refund and you get to keep the product, or just a refund if it does not show up at all.

 

On top of that, most of the sights you can find on wish you can also buy on amazon. I bought my 6x scope for my sniper off amazon as well as a really good RDS.

Doing an HPA conversion on my Ares AS-01 Striker (Mancraft kit)

 

Should be a pretty easy conversion from what I read on the owners groups on FB.

I used to have a Gas Non blowback G&G sniper. It should do you very well if you do it.
That or my illegal sniper was just that powerful.

 

It shot like 400 with .4 or something. It was not allowed anywhere. I was only allowed to use it because I knew the owner very well before I got it from his store. This was also like 10 years ago when there weren't any real rules.

Mancraft kit is easily fps tuneable with a pressure regulator, so I think I should be okay being able to adjust it, I mean, thing shoots 480fps on 0.2 with spring power, just shy from requiring a PAL firearms licence, so..... yeah should maybe slow it down a bit

Ahh, you’re from one of the countries that classified firearms as one that launches a projectile with a certain joule rating. 

In the USA, you can buy a high powered air rifle without any kind of license or background check. They just get really pricey as you know.

try some military training at a mock town with a live rounds that fire bbs, basically a cartridge with a bb or small paint paint fleck on it.

 

I am not In any way military, but have had family and friends serve. got to partake in mock battles, it’s extremely fun using actual service weapons with bb rounds.

I wish I could use those. They’re super expensive though. 

 

Theres another company called T4E (training for engagement) that uses CO2 to shoot rubber balls for lower cost training in proprietary systems. I haven’t been shot by one yet, but I’m open to seeing what it feels like.

I’ve seen those balls all over the field, but haven’t seen one of the systems, maybe look into that for pest control lol

A store I worked at sold them as non-lethal home defense. Idk. Maybe it hurts. Maybe not.

I’ve seen non lethal rubber shotgun rounds for home invasion, but never any thing for the usual 9mm or .45 for home defense.

 

im sure a mag dump of 9mm rubber rounds would at the least not be pleasant

They’re not either of those. They’re a .43 caliber. All proprietary.

The cyma AK47 are good at about $100. You can also get a G&G combat machine. 

 

Checkout some local fields to see about flea markets. Sometimes people sell decent guns for great prices. 

 

Youll want a good rifle. Don’t bother with pistols imo. A good starter gun with a “high cap” magazine will do you well for quite some time to make sure you really enjoy it. 

 

M4 are the most refined platform. Get plain looking ones that are electric or upgrade to “HPA” once you really get into it. 

The “cooler” it looks, the more likely it is to break & harder it’ll be to repair.
