You aren't really facing any severe problems with this setup. Why would you replace anyway?

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

your system will consume under 400w anyway tih the gpu upgrade, no need for higher than 550w

As an i7 owner - the 8700K can easily eat past 150W alone. Add a 300W 2080 Ti and you're at 450W without counting the other consumers - drives, RAM, board, fans - 650W if he plans on going for a high end card

I suggest bigger PSU 750 or 850 wattage for easier and cool running.. Bigger PSU easier running. That's my opinion!

Actually not the case with how efficiency curves go and noise graphs for PSUs.
