is the 2080 super better than a 1080 ti?
a good GTX 1080ti that can overclock to 2ghz like the one i got will be within spitting distance of the 2080 super in most situations.
1080ti has more video memory which can help with some high resolution VR simulations like iRacing or flight simulators if you're into that...
and the 1080ti has 512 more cuda cores...so if they run at the same clock speed, in more computational oriented loads the 1080ti might have an edge.
That said, 1080ti is an old card now, heck even 2080ti is old at this point...so a used card that has been overclocked and used a lot might not last long so i wouldnt'
recommend it unless it's from EVGA and you live in canada or USA. Cause then if it break you call them and setup an RMA and they'll confirm and just send you back a more recent card, like say a RTX 2080 super
If you play AAA titles and just want to game for the forseable future the 2080 super is a better choice unless you can find a REALLY good local deal on a 1080ti.
