Hey guys, wish my first thread wasn't asking for help but hey here I am.

At boot, my PC is consistently at 100% CPU. It's fine and goes down to around 45% after a couple minutes but it's annoying at best. This wouldn't be too bad if for the fact that as I'm doing anything else on my system, Opening Firefox, Opening a game, Spotify. I can feel my system start to chug like crazy. Even doing File Operations in explorer feel laggy. I have a perfmon report taken at boot. Hopefully, someone can help me shed a light on this.

There's also a side problem that also pisses me off and hopefully this will fix it. Every time I open Minecraft and load a world, when my CPU hits 100%, my mouse will just stutter like crazy. Happens in other games as well like Dying light.

It hasn't been too long since I've done that last. I usually do that since I always end up with high CPU usage and that's my last resort. systeminfo is showing me last time I did it was September

have you tried to look in task manager if there is some bad process?

Usually there isn't anything abnormal except a lot of svchosts. Other times I see AntiMalware service taking all my resources

task manager using 15% is not normal...

It always does that during the first couple of seconds after opening, they took the screenshot too early...

but iCue using 10%... is RGB worth 10% of your CPU? So many of these manufacturer control apps are coded like absolute piles of garbage...

Mind describing how you did the clean install?

Did you unplug all the other drives?

Did you delete the partitions at the installation screen?

I typically don't unplug the other drives but I did delete all partitions on my SSD at the install screen

I totally agree with @Kilrah, those tools should not be installed. Your pc is not top of the line anymore so anything other than necessary should not be running or even be installed. I prefer to do a clean install with every major windows update.

Make sure once you have a clean install, to not install those utilities. Not only will they eat away the little resources you have left they are also collecting your data and sending it back to whom ever want's it.

I use the utilities for macro profile switching so they're kind of necessary though.

I always prefer to use perihperals with built-in profiles for that reason, don't want 5 different gaming peripheral programs running all the time just to handle one button click every blue moon...

Haven't actually even reinstalled my mouse utility since I clean installed 6 months ago.

1. iCUE being hungry

2. Windows Security can kick in when it shouldnt (i.e. when you're using it), could disable it forever by making it exclude all partitions for scanning

1. Remove iCue and see if anything changes after that.
2. Run Msconfig and take screenshot of everything in Services tab AFTER you tick Hide all Microsoft services.

3. Open Task Scheduler, click Task Scheduler Library and take screenshot.
