Thrown Together..

Polyvalent

Hello! I'm new to the forums, and I thought I'd start off here.

First I'd like to mention that my build is pretty much the result of getting lucky, taking shortcuts, and staying on a tight budget.  Feel free to laugh and/or poke fun at any aspect of my build.

Specs

CPU: AMD FX-8320 [Ordered] + Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FX AM3+ [Ordered]
RAM: Patriot Viper 2x8GB 1600 [Ordered]
GPU: MSi AMD R9 270x 4GB
Sound: Auzentech Xi-Fi Forte Low Profile
PSU: Cooler Master I700 700W
SSD: Intel 530 Series 240GB

Chassis: Lian Li PCv2010 (This was a gift, I can't afford a Lian Li)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

It's not the best by any means but it gets the job done. I've ordered a few new parts for it, and I'll upload the pictures if I don't forget about this thread.  I also got pretty lucky getting such a beast of a chassis from a friend of mine who downgraded his PC.

I am usually more organized, but I'm moving into a new house so I haven't gotten a proper desk yet.

Indeed, I didn't like the idea of it just sitting there at the bottom, so I got creative.

Indeed it is, she's an absolute beast.  Thing weighs a ton and is rock solid. She's not pretty to look at from the inside, but the airflow is fantastic, the mobo tray removable, and the fans dead silent, so I'd say it was a nice gift.

Ordered a new CPU, Mobo and RAM, and I'll upload the pics if I remember to.

EDIT: I'm also building a light gaming rig for a friend on a budget, and have ordered all the parts.  Will post tomorrow.

Have built my bud's Kaveri rig and it booted up no problem.

Here's the full specs+pics:

CPU: AMD A10-7850K Kaveri APU + Xigmatek Janus Heatsink

Mobo: ASRock A88X Extreme6+ FM2+

RAM: Patriot Viper 2x4GB 1600

GPU: Gigabyte R7 250 1GB

Storage: WD 1TB HDD + Samsung 180GB SSD

Case: Cooler Master Elite 431

PSU: Corsair HX100W (provided beforehand)

I guess his plan is to crossfire the Kaveri and r7 250, why he didnt ask for a low grade FX and dedicated GPU I don't know.

Be warned I didn't pretty up the cable management yet so if you're squeamish don't open these spoilers
