Experiment Nr. 5 (Final pics on page 8)

That  24pin <3

Glad you like it:D

i love how you just have a random cpu lying around on your table. I mean, i have one here too but mine is an old E6750 whereas this one looks a whole lot newer! :D

Love that build too btw ^^ But where did you get these cable spacing things you used on the 24pin? You got them from the US cause i dont know of a place to get them here in europe.

They are E22 cable combs. You can get them directly from the guy making them here: www.e22.biz - He is located in the UK, so you should be good if you are in europe:)

very nice :)

I need to find where I can get those acrylic cable management pieces in Australia...

How do you find the SteelSeries H's? I really want a set :D

Write Nate from E22 a message and ask him. I am sure he ships to australia. Not sure if he has a reseller in aus yet though.

I worked a year at SteelSeries as a product developer, so I have most of their gear. Right now I am using the H wireless and the RIVAL mouse. The 9H is used for road trips and as a phone headset. It is lovely, but cannot compete with the features of the H wireless which i friggin LOVE!

  • 2 weeks later...

It's more than just a 'small' teaser.

A smaller teaser would be a macro of a fan of that case.

Haha, well, more will come soon :)

SpaceNavigator? Very nice!

I need a career change...

It does not take a career change to get a spacenavigator mate ;P

Small update, but an update never the less:D

001.JPG

Needed to mount the fans to the side of the pedestal. I wanted to mount them so that I could easily take them out and clean it. I also did not want the radiators to get loose if I wanted to take out the fans.

002.JPG

They sit in place by friction, and can be pulled out if they have to.

003.JPG

And the spacers used.

Simple is better:D

@p0Pe That spacer thing is actually quite clever :) Do they fit tight ? I would be worried about vibrations.

there are no moving parts attached to the mobo tray, so i dont think it will vibrate :)

Very true, but I want to get into Industrial/Product Design. Studying when working fulltime is a bit of a dilemma though :(

They fit quite tight, so vibration is no issue. I do, however, have some small issues with vibrations from the pumps, but I cant really do anything about that now :/ Good thing that the box is build so that it can be tucked away under the table :D

So guys! Time for an update! I will quickly go over how the inner parts of the system looks before we move on to something a bit more dramatic, and proberly what most people have been waiting for (cnc pr0n!)

sBzqVAg.jpg

The pedestal watercooling box, cooled by two EK 280mm XTC radiators and four Corsair 140 mm fans.

GisEqdV.jpg

Pedestal again, from the rear. Right now I am using some random fittings as I did not have any bitspower that would fit the hoses, but these have since been swapped out. Right below the tubing exits, you can see the power plug that powers the pedestal.

9Qveeh7.jpg

stable at 30 degrees. Fans turn off when under 30, and switch on at 40% speed at over 30 degrees.

0nHBKwF.jpg

Here you can spot the EK Impact block sitting under the interconnect plate. The interconnect plate is covering most of the ASUS Impact motherboard, and I think it will look really good when I get some dye in the fluid!

You can also see that I finished up the sleeving and tidied it all up with some E22 cable combs. These things truly does wonders:D

Front view.

Fans removed to better see the sleeving. The sleeving is held together with E22 cable combs.

Closeup of the ram block in the interconnect, and more sleeving :D

tlc8ykj.jpg

You know you are running mini itx when your cooling system is around the same size as your PC :D

Thats all for now folkes! I will be back shortly with a CNC update! But until then, here is a small teaser:
