low download speed on steam

i was trying to download a game from steam 2 to 3 days ago the download speed was 100% of my internet bandwidth but suddenly since yesterday morning i have been getting extremely low download speed which is about less than 10% of my actual bandwidth. i have tested my down speed through multiple means and i am getting my 100% down stream. problem is only occurring with steam. i was wondring if any of you guys are facing this issue or is it just me and if it is what could be the issue .

 

 

edit: turns out my countries steam server was over loaded changed to Russia and it works perfectly fine

I wasn't having issues a couple days ago downloading a steam game at about 240mbps (100% of my internet bandwidth). Is the drive you're downloading it to getting full? SSDs slow down a lot with less than 10-15gb free space left. It could just be a local problem. With the boomer remover going around, internet usage is way up and I'm sure so is the demand from steam servers.

my drive is a hard drive 180gb left

240mb/s? please tell me you are on lan. my speed is only 6mb/s even before the corona. my firefox speed is lower than steam by a bit.

my max is 712 kb/s and i am gettin barely 62kb/s

It's an ethernet connection. The wifi adapter on my desktop is crap.
