I typed in hp psu adaptor and it was the first couple results.

My sister has an old HP elite that we are putting in a new case and adding a 1660 super.

current specs are i7 3rd gen, 16gb ddr3

PROBLEM, im trying to add a new PSU and this mobo has a power connector ive never seen before. It doesnt use a 24 pin, it has a weird 6 pin plus a weird 6 pin (both white as seen below)

Anyone know what this is called and where i can find an adapter to go from 24 pin to this?

the PSU in it is only 240 watt so adding a GPU to it wont work, and it doesnt have a 6 pin or 8 pin PCI power anyways.

If you can find a pinout of this abomination ill take that too and just solder on the appropriate wires to convert the new PSU (i am not afraid)

It's a proprietary connector for HP elitedesk computers. In my opinion, getting a cheap H61 motherboard is the best option, and then getting a standard power supply.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yay for proprietary shit...

Would a Standard ATX PSU even fit in that case?

You can either try to get a new HP PSU with the proprietary connectors on it that's something like 400W at best, or replace the motherboard, PSU and Case.

Some adapters are being sold on ebay, if you look up your computer's model and the right keywords.

For example :

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/ATX-24Pin-To-6Pin-Small-6Pin-Power-Cable-For-HP-Elite-8100-8200-8300-800G1-US/174048231735

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Adapters exist, but usually the power supply is too small physically.

Personally I would not try to salvage the PSU, MB or Chassis, and at that point you may as well just do a new build.

So i bought one of these only to find out that the 6x1 connector for these adaptors only uses 4 wires instead of 5, and the wires are on the wrong pins.

So I need to modify mine to have this pinout

what do I do with the TAC and FANCMD pins? those arent pins on the 24 pin atx?

I get using the com, +3.3, and green, but idk what to do with these
