At the moment it is not possible to change your preference to COVID-19. However, with the way F@H is working now, it is heavily prioritizing COVID-19 work units (WU's), meaning you'll basically exclusively get COVID-19 WU's.

From everything i've heard right now any disease is the option for COVID19. The reason why is all research being done right now is supposedly on this virus. Some things are being done besides it but the focus is on the virus.

I think by default it grabs any computer resource you have to use (eg. CPU and GPU) so unless it's been disabled, it should be using it out of the box.

Short answer: Yes

Sure!

Just be sure your PSU is capable of delivering enough power, the components don't run too hot and if you're running an AMD and Nvidia card, make sure you have both drivers.

is there a way to check if my psu is delivering enough ? and how hot is too hot? (i have 1050 ti msi and a i5-7600k and 500W psu)

Generally the way I look at it is checking reviews for videocard and CPU power usage.

Take CPU usage + GPU usage (for both combined) + 50-100W

So if your CPU is an 80W part, your GPU's are 150W and 200W each, that is 430W + 50-100W = 480-530W. The PSU needs to be at least that amount, plus needs to be of good quality as well.

I could try to judge if your PSU is enough for your system, you just need to mention what CPU and GPU's you're using and also what specific PSU brand+model+wattage it is.

i found it's manual it says for the psu it's a Pure power 9 500w be quiet psu, geforce gtx 1050 TI gaming X 4G, Intel® Core™ i5-7600K Processor

And you want to run two GTX 1050 Ti GPU's?

GPU: 80W (times 2, so 160W)

CPU: up to 100W

So that's 260W + 50-100W = 360W

Seems like 500W should be able to run that, is that a BeQuiet Pure Power L9? I don't know if I want to recommend running multiple GPU's on that, though.
