144hz Gaming Monitor

Dragonisles

I currently have a ASUS Strix laptop that has and i7 processor and a GTX 980M in it. The screen on the laptop is a 60hz refresh rate 1080p screen and I want to get into the realm of 144hz. I mostly play Overwatch and get anywhere from 100-270 FPS. I am also wanting to get a new keyboard to go along with it. I have been looking at the steelseries apex 7 tkl keyboard with cherry red switches. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know I am not sold on the keyboard at all. My budget is less than $500USD. I am a high school student so would very much like to keep it under $400 but if the extra hundred is truly worth it I can try and get the money. I also half to convince my parents to let me buy the setup. Thank You for your suggestions!

I have a corsair k70 with brown switches. I used that with my laptop when that was my main computer. I would recommend going for MX speed switches, cuz gaming. I think the k80 has the speed switches but the 70 does not. I have no recommendations for the monitor. Hope this helped

i'm using the razer black widow chroma (chroma is just for RGB) and i've used it for about 5 years if not more, still works like a charm.

as for monitors, there are many good options try looking into AOC they have some good and chap 144Hz monitors

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

The AOC one is good but I personally like 27” better than 24”, but it is really personal choice.

For the keyboard what type of switch are you looking for?

Some good ones:

I recommend to stick with cherry Mx switches.
