Oh I see. I thought the account on this forum had to be 10 days old.

Thanks for the clarification although my i5 8400 still has a long way to go.

Yeah I have a passkey. That's great then. I'm incredibly new to this (just joined today because of the coronavirus outbreak and wanted to help out). Does 10 WUs mean completing the same folding loop 10 times?

You will never do the same work twice. Every Work Unit is unique.

It means completing 10 lots of work.

I have a question, Does the time and points we put into folding right now count towards the 10 days and 500,000 point requirement to enter, or do we need to meet those requirements between March 27th and April 10th?

Just joined the cause !

I went from Boinc to FAH mainly because my main rig has a 5700 XT.

I got 3 PC's all turning together now, only my Ryzen 2200G has a WU on it's Vega 8 "gpu".

I noticed my main rig stopped because it started getting cold in my pad. 😆

Can't wait for the servers to send out some work...

Also I could use a passkey, I haven't got mine yet. What do i do to get one?

Be patient.  F@H is kinda overloaded.

Ask for it once.  Do not use a Google or yahoo email.  These services are blocking it as spam.

Maybe you will get one tomorrow.

It took over 24 hours for me to get one.  I never got a response on my gmail account.

When do the points refresh on web control? I have completed a WU like half an hour ago.
(Water pump broken, so I had to use Intel stock cooler on i7-9700k. Will add the CPU to fold in a day or two after I get the new cooler)

Good to know, can I choose what e-mail account I can use when prompted for a passkey?

The F@H servers are very highly taxed atm, try here instead

Hallöle from Germany, another RTX 2080 working 24/7 from now on for the next weeks on them COVID-2 proteases and whatever simulations need to be done. Spent half a day setting everything up and testing. Looks like my 5820k is near-useless efficiency-wise compared to the RTX 2080 GPU. Now we only need the F@H guys to make sure there is enough work for all of us :D

P.S. go team LTT! Hope all those LTT LAN center PCs are not sitting idle, either.

P.S.S. Everyone completely new to folding/mining PLEASE make sure that your temps both GPU and CPU stay reasonable to avoid hardware damage. e.g. don't let your GPU run 90 °C all the time, use MSI afterburner to check temps and adjust temp limit and fan speeds accordingly. Don't go crazy on overclocks for a little extra points, I would know as I'm somewhat competitive myself.

Probably won't work, but perhaps try switching from "127.0.0.1" to "localhost" ? Helped me on one of my machines.
