in a video linus posted on youtube in Dec.at the price range for the rx 5700 and rtx 2060 linus and one other person were split decision with the 5700 being the best performer and the 2060 being the best features but for around $100 more, the rtx 2070 comes in and kicks ass against the 5700.

Within the last couple of days I was asking for advice on here about a GPU upgrade, I was warned by a few people on here to be wary of AMD cards due to driver issues that have arisen in the last couple of months that have caused some AMD cards, if not all, to act a bit funky.

I ended up going for the RTX 2070 Super, but for your case of mid-range gaming, a GTX 1660 Super (or the regular non-super Ti variant) or the RTX 2060 should be good for what you're looking to achieve, at 1080p of course, at any higher resolutions you may see lower frames-per-second depending on graphics settings.

If you prefer the AMD line of cards, you can check out the RX 5700, but again with the warning that some driver issues have been reported recently for AMD cards.

MoBo: Aorus Z370 Gaming 5 (rev. 1) | CPU: Intel Core-i5 8600k | GPU: ZOTAC RTX 2070 Super 8gb Twin Fan | RAM: 2x 8gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz | Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition | PSU: Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 650w 80-Plus Bronze | Storage: 1x ADATA 120gb SSD + 2x Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD | Case: Corsair Carbide 275R (white)

I'd like to run games like Just Cause 3, GTA V, and Rainbow 6. Are you able to run those fine with your card or similar games? Also thank you for the reply and advice.

I was able to run Just Cause 3 and GTA V pretty well with my previous card (GTX 1060 3gb), so the newer GTX 1660 Super and RTX 2060 should have absolutely no problem running them at higher settings (I ran the games at medium, or high if possible, I left the in-game graphics config up to the GeForce Experience software).

The RTX 2070 Super, which I just got today, should be able to decimate the previous settings and quite possibly reach ultra at 1080p. I still have to head home and install that, as soon as I clock out in a few minutes.

I do not have any driver issues what so ever, and if you have them you could wait for new drivers or just return the gpu and buy nvidia

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.
