Overclocked memory from 2400 to 2666 and killed itself.

I overclocked my 8gb x 2 ram from 2400 to 2666 using the and ryzen overclock software. When the system restarted, it showed a black screen. No input.

Specs:

Ryzen 3 3200g

8gb x 2 ballistix sport lt memory

Gtx 1660 zotac

Tuf b450 m plus gaming motherboard.

1tb Seagate barracuda compute hdd

240gb crucial ssd

just restart the cmos, there is usually a button on the motherboard or jumper pins. If not, just take out the BIOS battery for few minutes and put it back. 

 

You haven't killed anything. That's what happens when memory OC fails. It's normal and it's what you will experience often when trying to OC the memory.

welcome to memory overclocking. You'll have to reset your bios settings to get back up and running. I did a quick read of your motherboards manual and there is a 2 pin jumper in the lower right hand corner just to the right of your chipset which can be shorted to reset things. I would suggest referring to your motherboard manual page 1-1 detail 8 if you can't find it.

This is the unfortunate part of memory tweaking on boards with a lack of overclocking conveniences. If you want a more convenient way to rest your bios settings you could always wire your computer case's reset switch to the 2 pin location I referenced earlier.

I reset the cmos and nothing happened. I took out the battery and waited for about 5 minutes and put it back in. Nothing happened... Still doesn't boot.

dont you have debug LEds on that board? what do they say?

have  you double checked that the board didn't swap video output to the on board graphics. It happens sometimes

Yes. I switched to the Mobo HDMI port.

Only thing I can think of is maybe taking the ssd out and hooking it up to my laptop. Maybe then I can take the ryzen overclock software out.
