Is my PSU hindering my graphics quality?

theFAZ_gc

I just recently upgraded my graphics card to a EVGA RTX 2070 Super, and while it looks nice in the case, I haven't seen a great improvement in graphics, particularly in frames. I'm wondering if it is because the GPU is not receiving enough power? According to pcpartspicker it doesn't suggest any incompatibilities. I've attached a picture of my current build. Any info would be grateful!

If that were the case your PC would be crashing. If your frames have not improved it's possible your're running into a framerate cap. What other components do you have and what  games are you running?

I mainly play Destiny 2 and Escape From Tarkov (I know this game is poorly optimized).

a power supply either works or it doesnt. there is no power management negotiation between the power supply and the rest of a computer.

it either can supply the power good, be spotty and cause crashes, does an overload shutdown, or catches fire.

in short, if your system does not feel as if it's broken, its not the power supply.

Thanks, it certainly doesn't feel broken, and haven't had a crash. Maybe it is my CPU as suggested above?

You  mean in games? If so, I went in the games and set them to recommended specs.
