How to wipe hdd

I have some Hdds that i could use from old pcs but i cant figure out how to wipe them all the way. All of them have an os installed on it. When i try wipe it in the files it doesnt wipe the os on it. Is there a way without booting the os in the hdd? The hdd os has multiple error codes.

Do i do this with my main ssd disconnected? I currently one storage device connected my main ssd.

for example - if you wanted to erase everything that was on disk 2, but disk manager was not letting you delete the boot partition for example, you would use diskpart>select disk 2>clean

@yaboistar I wiped the disk but should i put it on MBR or GPT if i want to use it for just extra storage?
