Controllable noise in my head

SteamedLawnChair

Since I was little there’s been this noise in my head that I could control, idk how to describe it but it’s almost like there’s a muscle in my head I can control which makes these noises, it also happens if my close my jaw really tightly and close my eyelids really tightly (without scrunching em) anybody know what this is, whenever I look it up online all I find is titinitus which probably isn’t the case as everyone’s ears ring now and then. The sound is like an incredibly low F# (lower than capable on piano). Anybody recognise this?

are you by any chance just talking about the 'noise' of the muscles which are just closing your jaw? i tried that i can hear that too.

Nah because I can trigger it in other places than just my jaw, it’s harder to trigger it in my jaw

Yea is it like a deep noise in your ears? Because i can do that too, but not sure what it is from. I would guess it has to do with blood rushing in your head or something

We are not medical field practitioners so it is best to go visit your family physician (doctor) and a psychiatrist / psychologist.

Even a nurse cant help you, so users of LTT cant help you as medical is a specific field that requires years and years and years of study.

For future reference, when it comes to medical, the first go to should be your family doctor, not Google or any search engine.

I’m pretty sure that’s just muscles moving right before doing tubal opening, as they are such small muscles and they are, in computing terms, like a heavy mechanical blue switch.

unless it’s that sound thing someone sent later, try learning how to do a voluntary tubal opening if you can’t already and see if that really is it,

- now I’m in a weird position about this as I’ve always been able to do it like very easily and I don’t know if I’m weird or something is broken in my head or not lol, but like I even hear it clicking when I swallow etc.

That's normal.

There is a muscle in your ear called Tensor Tympani.

The muscles primary job is to dampen loud noises, but it takes on other roles as well. For example, the muscle reacts with your facial muscle movements to dampen bone noise. These are involuntary movements of the Tensor Tympani Muscle.

However, some individuals can develop voluntary control of this muscle.

ENCRYPTION IS NOT A CRIME

I don't know if it's the same thing, but whenever I feel it start happening I just put my index fingers in the opening of my ears and pull down really hard until I hear the sound fade away.

Go to a ENT doctor specialist, the acronym stands for Ear Nose Throat, get your family doctor on it. It is wise to get checked out every year, to get an early start on any potential future problems for health. A hearing test, a pressure test, a look into the ear to see whats going on, all worthwhile.
