Can't go into energy saving mode with new hardware

Hey guys,

I bought some new mainboard and CPU lately and I've noticed that I can not go into energy saving mode because every time I click on it the PC restarts instead of going into sleep mode.

Can you tell me how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

There isn’t just one “energy saving mode” because laptops.  Your equipment probably supports some but not all of them

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

enable from registry in current control system ----< csenabled

some times in windows 10 the setting is disabled by default and you have to re enabled from regedit.

and activate the power setting in your profile

and choose "when pressing power button"---------< "sleep"

I can't find those settings in my panel.

I use a desktop not a laptop.

@Mephi00 I already have the latest BIOS version running.
