Program to edit PDF files

Go to solution Solved by Oswin,

adobe acrobat works wonders

I scanned a book as a bunch of PDF files (one for each sheet, so about 300 files). Is there a program that'll allow me to stitch all these files together and edit the page order in case I scanned something wrong?

And I would also like to turn it into a format I can digest into a E-reader, would calibre work, or do I need something else?

Look at my post. Try that. Online version should be good enough.

Word 2016 and 2019 and 365 (maybe older versions, those the are the ones I have verified) can open and convert PDF to documents, You might be able to use that, then copy paste the text in order to a new word doc and export as pdf. (Its a hacky kind of way to do it, but as a last resort type thing. It would work)

Go to https://alternativeto.net, search for the program in question, choose appropriate OS and "free" an license. Browse the options looking for "combine pdfs" or "combine documents".

Not in Windows now, but I think for Windows I got Icecream PDF Editor / PDF Split & Merge.

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is by far the best in the world but if you need *free* then honestly have no idea.

Yes. No.

I used Qoppa PDF Studio Pro back when I was in Win 7 and I now use it in Linux Mint 19.3 (Qoppa also has a version for Mac). It's not free but it is considerably less expensive than Adobe Acrobat, even if you do not consider that it is not subscription based (that alone would make it less expensive in the long run), and it is not cloud based. Each version has no expiration date and you can safely continue to use your existing version even after other versions have come out. Featurewise, the Pro version falls between Adobe Acrobat Standard and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
