New build ryzen system problems

Bayron

So yesterday I build my first ryzen system, and was very happy, it posted, installed fresh win 10 home, all drivers, even latest chipset from amd on it and everything seemed to work but then I noticed 3 problems:

1. My cpu core clocks/voltage jumping like crazy by just moving the mouse from 3,2 to turbo 3,60 every time

2. When I put pc to sleep mode it weirdly gose to sleep, then I try to wake up him and he stays whit black screen and then just restarts rondomly(two times) and only then turns on

3. My bios screen sometimes is too large for my screen in rez, my monitors is 1080 p, but bios gose in that 1280x728(I think) rez

I tired to adjust power plans(disableing fast boot, tuning on balanced mode, and other basic stuff to try to fix) , but it didn't help me.

So any suggestions for me? Maybe need to replug all cables, ram, gpu?

Tnx for help :)

1. check memory installation, clean the memory and replug properly.

2. same as above.

3. some monitors do that, the screen won't fill up. dont bother, if your mobo comes with a bios screen program do it from there (inside windows).

OK I'll try to reseat them, should I try to put them in different slots? Currently in a1and b1 slot.

I'll check if it has that program

Look in your mobo manual which slots to use for ram if you only use 2 dimms, because most boards usually use a2 and b2 for dual dimm operation. Yours might b me different so look it up just to be sure

On my ryzen system, i frequently swap odds and evens without any effect.

I don't know if this still a thing.

Changing ram slots did not fix the problem 1 and 2, but it seems to have fixes bios screen to normal

So are you saying that you newly built system works but there is a problem with sleep mode where upon waking from sleep it instantly crashes, restarts twice befor successfully restarting, and you have made several attempts (vaguely detailed) to try to solve it?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Sleep or hybernate.

1. Sleep : turn off all except memory.

2. Hybernate : everything turned off, memory dumped to the ssd. Turn on, memory dump back from ssd.

If 1, then maybe problem with your memory.

If 2, maybe problem with the ssd.

Look in the event viewer and see if you see any errors.

Look into the Windows Sleep and Hibernation settings, make sure there is enough disk space allocated to Hibernation/sleep.

Also, in the bios, check for the settings for Power On after loss of power, that sometimes screws up things as well.

Ok.  There are people here better qualified to specifically address this.  I’m mostly just trying to facilitate so that they can get right into your problem.  I’m being low level support.  You need a higher level than me.  My knowledge on this one is only general and I can only make guesses.  My best guess is that windows does laptops as well as desktops so there are a bunch of different available hybernation and sleep levels and it may be set to one your system doesn’t support.  Might do to get into the specific sleep and hibernate levels and see what exactly you are set for.  Just a guess though.

This would be in the Bios and Windows settings... so you probably would have to turn on the PC... but why would you not want to turn on the PC?

Sorry, misunderstood it.

Well, that is a personal preference.

On my media server, I have that setting to ON, as I want the machine to boot back up after a power failure and the UPS running out of battery power, as I have loaded some of the things as services, and they start automatically.

Try it both ways and see what you want and what works...

Did you find anything in the event viewer?

Also restate the issues you still have, things went muddy with so many responses.

Found solution, i can put pc to hibernate and then its works fine, wakes up ok like from hibernate it should.

pc works fine, made stress test on cpu and gpu, temps are ok, voltages are ok too.

so i get these errors and warnings after i put pc to sleep:

i will attach these txt files

those after time are the newest errors and warnings i get after sleep mode wake up(x2 restart)

In power settings find "allow hybrid sleep" and disable it. Or change some bios settings related to power state when sleep. It's just guessing, I'm not using sleep.
