My birthday is soon and I am deciding to build my first pc instead of buying because prebuilt costs 100 extra just for lame 5 year old parts

 

 

my budget is $400

I will be playing AAA Games

Single channel RAM on Ryzen is a no no. Slow memory on the regular CPUs is a no no, and a downright sin with an APU.

It's not worth the massive performance hit it causes.

You're still getting a massive bump in performance, especially when the other build only has a rather slow single stick instead of a 3000-3200mhz dual channel kit. Plus you're getting a much better motherboard.
