Fractal R4 Transplant

Pyr0monk3y

This build has been operational for about a year and a half.  A month ago I got fed up with my HAF 922's constant vibrations and lack of cable management.  The build was just a mess.  I picked up a Fractal R4 and a few fans and set to work... or play rather.

It's super quiet, the dust seems to be keeping out, and temps are a couple degrees lower.  A quality case makes a huge difference.  It just makes your whole computing experience a little better.  Fractal has hit a home run with this one.

And yes, that is an IDE ribbon.

Yeah defo a massive improvement and the bits of lighting just add that extra awesomeness.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

one suggestion is that carefully split the IDE cable in to SATA-ish size and tie them up. it will look much better.

You should turn the heatsink fan the other way and turn that back fan into an exhaust. :)

The rear fan is an exhaust.  The fan on the heatsink is in "pull" configuration.
