I'm in with the majority, 212 EVO gets my vote. Keeps my i5-4670k around 45C while under heavy gaming.

I'd just get a hyper 212 evo.

No. A 212 Evo will be plenty. I'd only spend more if noise was a huge issue.

the way i see it, I could spend 30 bucks on a 212 evo, and spend 30 bucks on an nf-f12 for it, or i could spend 15 dollars more and get much better performance

Hyper 212 Evo, Mounting is a bit of a bother but the price/performance is great.

Usually the watts of the CPU, if that helps. For example, my Sempron 145 has a TDP of 45 watts, my Atom N270 has a TDP of 2.5 watts, and so on.

the spin q vt is quit good if you can find it & it fits & is cheap for you.

there is 2 types of this 1 angled 1 not.

My FX-8350 is liquid cooled, but my sons' FX-8350 is air cooled.  We use the Coolermaster GEMIN II S524 for air cooling his CPU,  sure there are better air coolers... but he liked the GEMIN II because he could see the 120mm Coolermaster Jetflow Blue LED fan better (kinda just looks cool).  Plus the GEMIN II cools the RAM & motherboard, because the fan points down toward the board... not sideways.

Yup I'd say a 212 evo. It's currently cooling my 8320 clocked at 4.0. I might even try to push it more.
