What do you think about Linus's probable retirement?

  1. 1. What do think Linus should do based on his stream?

    • He desereves it. Take a long break and be back with us. Family first, then others.
    • Organize his priorities. Do whatever he wants. He will be deeply missed if he retires.

He should retire.

Then come here to the forums and give people tips for a change.

Missing option: Long live Anthony Tech Tips

Unfortunately, I think it will become JamesTechTips since he's always in or around the videos now.

For me, Linus is the draw. As soon as he stops, I stop watching.

I personally slowed down watching when Luke left. Once Linus stops I'll probably end up watching someone else for my tech vids probably.

If this isn't going the way he wants to fill his days anymore, it is his full right to retire.

The poll really doesn't do justice to his free choice.

That being said, I married a geaky guy also and I think that Linus lovingly hugging his family al day is going to freak them out eventualy. And than they will beg him to get a hobby next to loving his family.  ;)

And then he will do what he likes, his way. True to himself. And i think that that would be truly fascinating to see or read. Maybe he will share that new proces online, maybe not. Maybe every week, maybe every month. Linus is only human.  ;)

I wish him good luck with whatever he decides to do.

I honestly don't care. I don't watch LTT for Linus, I watch for the Tech Tips!

It's not as if Linus is actually an 'integral' part of the team anyway, and he made sure it's like that so when he's not there, it functions as normal.

For me anyway, Linus is actually only my third favourite 'presenter'. I'd much sooner watch an Alex or Anthony video than a Linus video (and I mean one where they actually present, not one with them in the background and Linus just presenting in front of them)

Anthony is definitely the better of the two.

You watch Anthony if you want to learn how to do something, you watch Alex if you want to learn how NOT to do something!

I'm a big advocate for a work/life balance as a CEO his day isn't done just cos he left the office, so it's understandable that he wants to hand the reigns over

Not sure if anyone else in the company is ready for that though. Closest i would say would be Luke however he isn't a LMG employee anymore

If he were to retire all for him, but he would have to be very careful about his successor. Normally in ther interim it's normally the CFO that steps in
