is this a bottleneck?

My PC has an i7-6700k paired with an RTX 2080. Is this a bottleneck? My games can run on ultra perfectly fine I would just like to know if i'm missing out on a ton of performance.

Depends what you're playing, but you're probably good enough

It depends on a few things, do you close side and background applications when you go game?

 

Do you play with v-Sync on or off and what is your monitor resoluton and refresh rate? if you run your games uncap and you can't maximize the GPU usage (which happens by *increasing* the graphical settings *not decreasing*  then technically the i7 6700K is not telling the RTX 2080 what to render fast enough.

 

Bottleneck is a concept that you will be held back by the weakest link of your build but if that's affecting you noticeable or not depends on a lot of factors.

This isn't something to worry about unless you're not getting the performance you want.

a 6700k is a bottleneck for some of the AAA games out these days even at 60fps, but if you aren't seeing dips in the games that you play, then it's probably fine.
