he said "gpu", that is not plural. Now if the OP were to say which cardare the best then 4 780 ti's in sli would be my answer.

Honestly, a 770 would do great at 1080p. And a 760 if you're tight on money.

Obviously a 780Ti or 290x would be the fastest, but they both are ~$700 right now -- not very enticing for the average gamer. For the tech enthusiast/graphics lover, a different story.

I think that last statement only really applies to younger people.

A lot of my friends are definitely average gamers. We all buy top end stuff.

780Ti > Titan > 290x >780

Just compared them all, the titan out performs the 290x by just a hair

Titan vs 290X really comes down to how the game is optimised. The benchmarks in most games are super close with both cards performing better in different games.

780ti for the best single gpu. But in terms of 1080p gaming, a 280X would be a pretty good card for it.

780Ti > Titan > 290x >780

This depends on a number of things.

In 1080P along with OC'd parts, 780 will actually outperform Titan (personally tested, since I own them all).

If we are talking about higher res, then Titan might come in better, but at higher res and ultra detailed textures.

But one thing that most, if not all, can agree is that 780ti is at the top, at the moment.

The best "gaming" GPU I assume will be the TITAN BLACK when it is launched in a couple of weeks. Supposedly it will beat even the GTX 780TI by quite a margin.
