B450 vs X570

Hai. I'm new here and have a question where I can't find any information with Google and YouTube.
I want to build a new system with a Ryzen 3600 and overclock.
Would like a Strix B450-i or a Strix X570-i motherboard.
I like the layout of the X570-i, but is there also a performance advantage in gaming? Sorry for my English?

So the question is; B450 vs X570!

I think the B450 board will be good enough for the R5 3600.

If you have the money and plan on keeping the system and upgrading it for the next few years, I'd suggest going with the X570-I.

While the B450-I will work fine with the 3600, it can't handle really much more than that (I wouldn't put a 3900X in it, for example), so you'd be limiting your future upgrade options.

And no, there most likely won't be any difference in gaming performance between these boards with a 3600.

Feature wise the boards are nearly identical, really the only difference is the overclocking capacity of the X570 chipset vs the B450, and VRM cooling, but this is a non issue for the R5 3600 as it is only a 65W TDP chip. Additionally, the X570 board supports PCIe 4.0 which is nothing of use at the moment really. I would get the B450 motherboard, it is perfect for your config. I own the Asus Strix B450i with an overclocked R7 1700 and it is a great board. I have had zero issues.

The B450 could easily handle a 3700x, although OC'ing a 3900x would be pushing the limit with the VRM cooling.

Either board is good. I have the Strix B450-i. It features 6vrm package and the board handles my 2700x very very well. Both boards will come pretty well packed with features for oc and tweaking. Id say its one of the best boards Ive had in a long time. It just lacks expansion slots having only 1 pcie slot.

What I'm considering is that with Ryzen CPUs usually dropping in price pretty dramatically by the time the next gen launches, something like a used 3900X/3950X could really be tempting for many people in the future. But yes, a 3700X would be okay with the B450-I.
