Fresh install of Windows 10. Do I need to go to Motherboard's Website and download drivers? Or just have Windows do all the work?

Hi everyone.

I have always been confused about this.

I am using the Gigabyte Z270P-D3-CF motherboard.

Just did a fresh install of Windows 10. All updates were installed. Everything seems to be working fine.

But do I need to (should I) go to the official website of my mobo and download the drivers

I never fully understood this thing.

Thanks for your help!

check device manager to see if anything doesn't have a driver.

Normally windows updates will install most drivers, but there normally a whql version, so there not the newest normally, but that shouldn't be a big issue as that board is a bit older and most of the big updates have been released.
