Deleted HD Audio Device, Front Panel Audio Jacks Unresponsive

I uninstalled my audio device due to a problem with freezing and buzzing.  I no longer have that problem, but now the front and rear IO audio jacks are unresponsive.  I read on another thread that doing this would cause windows to recognize the missing device and reinstall it but this did not happen.  What can I do to fix the lack of sound?
